Often you will get branches that are just to thick to bend and shape with wire. Thats where these little beauties come into play. They allow you to literally split the branch in half with there incredibly sharp jaws. This is vital as the healing process is much quicker when cut cleanly. The branch or trunk is then so much earier to bend.
